Overview

For the short film Riis, I served as production designer, bringing to life the carefree, sun-soaked vibe of a classic beach day. The film follows a group of friends on a wild journey along the shoreline as they try to impress a crush, encountering unexpected characters and adventures along the way.

Designing for Riis required fully embracing the unpredictability of the beach itself — sand, wind, and shifting light conditions all became part of the set. I orchestrated on-site setups that leaned into the natural environment while still creating bold, eye-catching visuals that supported the film’s playful energy. From vibrant props to seamless integration with the seaside backdrop, every design choice was made to capture the spontaneity and nostalgia of summer fun.
